Basic Machine
• Unit frame of welded carbon steel.
• Heavy mass and low-vibration frame.
• Optional aspiration on top of the machine.
• Scraper system adjustable by counter weights located on the exterior of the unit.
• Rolls are removed from the front of the unit.
• Brackets between the roll journals and the frame allow the rolls to be rolled forward for easy and safe removal.
• Dismounting of the roll bearings made easier using a hydraulic dismounting aid.
• Differential side V-belts and pulleys with guard located for ease of access and maintenance.

Optional Overflow System
• Recycle of unflaked material can be accomplished with built in screw conveyors or customer provided system.
• Allows product to cover the entire length of the rolls.

Benefits of the Overflow System:
• Higher throughput.
• The risk of damage to the roll ends is minimized.
• Roll end re-grinding significantly reduced, thus
lowering maintenance cost.

Feeder Options

Roll Feeder:
• Product fed by special roll feeding unit with mixing shaft for consistent blending of the product.
• The mixing shaft paddles can be adjusted to compensate for variations in the feed product.
• Magnetic drum separator with special jacket for effective cleaning during operation.
• Feed rate is controlled with a variable speed drive.
• Pneumatically operated product shut-off slide can also be used to adjust the feed rate.

Vibrating Feeder:
• Vibratory feeding chute of enclosed design with inspection doors and regulating flap to control the depth of the product layer.
• Feed rate can be adjusted via the intensity of the vibration with variable control.

Hydraulic System
• Control panel provided to control all hydraulic functions.
• Hydraulic unit can immediately reverse the pressure on the pressing roll when triggered by a level indicator due to low feed level in the feed hopper to protect the rolls.
• Nitrogen accumulators allow rolls to open to permit foreign material to pass without causing roll damage.
