Winnower

Overview

In cocoa and chocolate manufacture, the dehulling of cocoa beans is without doubt one of the most important process steps. The efficiency of a dehulling plant has a direct influence on the economy of a production line.

The most important thing is to prevent nib loss - the valuable part of the cocoa bean - in order to ensure maximum yield.

An optimally functioning dehulling plant ensures clean separation of the nibs and shell.

Winnower

Features:
* Division of the product flows minimizes already at the start of the process the formation of fines and
dust fractions.

* The main crusher is a hexagonal reflex crusher, which is designed in such a way that the beans are
only coarsely crushed.

* The crusher speed can be adjusted to various products.

* Pre-crushed beans are transported past the crushers in order to effectively prevent the formation
of fines.

* The return crusher is designed as a forced crusher with profiled rolls and can be adjusted so that
the beans are coarsely crushed during return transport.

* Perfectly matched screen sizes and aspiration channels ensure perfect separation. The compact
design enables installation in confined spaces. The prescreen can also be arranged upstream of the machine if required.

Options:
* Capacities above 4 t/h are easily possible with the addition of a three-deck prescreen.

* The aspiration box can be moved back pneumatically1 to facilitate maintenance and cleaning of
the screen frame and rake system.

* For precise adjustment of the vacuum, the aspiration box can be divided into two sections1
and extended by an additional fan if required.

* Automatic PLC control

* The vacuum can be controlled fully automatically if required.

* Depending on the required equipment, the lower screen units can be heated to prevent an
accumulation of fine deposits.

Technical Data:
*
Throughput: 2400/4000 kg/h (West African quality, roasted)

*
Input power: 17.5/41 kW

*
Nib loss: 0.15-0.25 / 0.15-0.25 % (depending on bean quality)

*
Shell content in nibs: < 1.75 / < 1.75 % (depending on bean quality)
